Protection Programs & Activities
Individual Protection Assistance – IPA
The IPA program entails a one-time cash or non-cash assistance to persons with specific protection needs to prevent their exposure to further risks. IPA activities target both at-risk host communities and IDPs for the provision of transportation to needed services, relocation of IDPs to safer areas, medical treatment and assistive devices, core relief items in cash to improve the immediate living circumstances of beneficiaries, specific support for pregnant lactating women (PLW), elderly, and marginalized groups; shelter assistance; referral to basic services (mental health and medical/protection individual counseling); and unrestricted cash to meet urgent immediate needs.
