Mental Health
The provision of specialized and non-specialized mental health services through the implementation of WHO programs, including the Thinking Healthy program, Mental Health Gap Action Program (mhGAP), and Problem Management Plus (PM+), in addition to cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT) services.
OUR APPROACH
- Providing assessment and treatment of priority mental health illnesses via a rotating mhGAP-trained doctor and with the support of a Psychiatrist.
- Doing mental health case management and psychosocial support services to mental health patients and acute and chronic stress.
- Supporting PSWs on training, self-help, and PM Plus implementation and doing strong referral pathways to mhGAP doctors.
- Conduct emergency outreach/ mobile PFA to newly arrived IDPs and coordinate multi-sectoral teams in providing PFA and referral through integration of PSS services to other sectors.
- Providing capacity building to the community on PFA and others.
- Conducting awareness Raising activities to reduce social stigma and discrimination towards people living with impairments.
