Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Management
SRD’s Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Management Program addresses the growing burden of chronic diseases in vulnerable communities by focusing on the prevention, early diagnosis, and effective management of long-term conditions. Recognizing the serious impact of NCDs, which progress slowly but lead to significant health, social, and economic consequences, SRD’s program is designed to provide comprehensive care for the four main types of NCDs: cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory conditions, and diabetes.
Our skilled healthcare providers deliver NCD services both at healthcare facilities and through community-based outreach, ensuring accessibility for underserved populations. Adopting standardized protocols, SRD’s approach emphasizes evidence-based practices for managing these diseases, including screening, lifestyle education, and treatment tailored to each patient’s needs. Preventive efforts focus on reducing known risk factors—such as smoking, unhealthy diets, physical inactivity, and substance abuse—through awareness campaigns and community engagement. In addition, we collaborate with other health partners to strengthen referral systems, enabling patients to receive specialized care as needed. By focusing on sustainable, long-term solutions, SRD’s NCD Management Program plays a critical role in reducing the health burden of chronic diseases, enhancing the quality of life for affected individuals, and promoting healthier communities.
